What are some activities that you can play with your family at a Christmas party, to involve the whole family?
Dec 18th, 2008 by admin
My family is very big and there are a lot of different age groups from my grandparents to my little cousins, any suggestions to involve the whole family, fun ideas please?
You can do what I'm doing- get clear, flat glass stones from the craft section of Wal-Mart or the dollar store or where-ever- the larger flat stones, not the small size. Print out a bunch of questions into the shape of the stones, (I'll cut and paste the ones I'm using below), then cut the questions out and glue them to the bottom of the stones. Lay them around on the holiday table and out and about where everyone will be hanging around. They are kind of conversation starters or ways to get people sharing. It's a lot of work, but worth it when you're trying to find something for all ages. If you don't have time or don't want to do the stones, you could always print out a list of questions like these and just read them to everybody and have people call out their answers. Have fun~
What is the
furthest away
you have ever
travelled?
If you could
go into space
on a space shuttle,
would you?
What is your
least favorite
holiday tradition?
What's the nicest
thing you've ever
seen anyone do?
What will you
never forget about
the past year?
What's the longest
you've gone
without sleep?
Where were
you on
Sept. 11, 2001?
What's the best
costume you've
ever worn?
What did you do
for your 13th
birthday?
What's your
favorite
knock-knock
joke?
Have you
ever taken
dance lessons?
What's your
favorite
breakfast food?
Do you like
guacamole?
Have you ever
taken a picture
in one of those
little booths?
What's the
longest you've
ever waited
in line?
Do you love your
job, or just love
having a job?
What was the
best book
you've ever
read?
How many
pounds
can you lift?
If there was one
day in your life
you could re-live,
which day would
that be?
What makes
you
the happiest?
Would you rather
go to Disneyland
or camping?

The most famous among big groups is the game called "Trip to Jerusalem" where you request everybody to bring a chair and arrange them in a circle.
Tell everybody that a Christmas song will be played and when it stops, everybody must grab a seat. Whoever remains standing is eliminated.
Before the start of the game, take out one chair. Then play the music and stop it. Take out one chair before every succeeding round.Whoever gets the last chair, WINS!
Take care. Happy holidays.
