Christmas Guide

our christmas cantata is coming up in about a week and i have no costume. our costume is ALL black.. soo.. black top, black skirt and black footwear (should be flat.) so. i have the skirt and the footwear. skirt: a line. plain black. footwear: glittery sandals. but.. im having a problem with my top since. it's too long. it's like a mini dress. it looks nice.. but when you wear it with the skirt, its UGLY. cause it makes layers. soo.. what do i do to fix it WITHOUT buying a new top?? .. [[like adding a belt.. i dont know.]] just please HEEELLLPP!!!

Well without seeing the blouse, it's hard to say, but I'm wondering if it is possible to shorten it without ruining the design. If you know anyone who sews, you could have them take a look at the entire outfit, to see what alterations could be made.
