By the middle 50’s … By the middle 50’s most people had refrigerators. My dad was born in ‘36 and when he was a kid they were dirt poor and didn’t have electricity but they did have a gas refrigerator (LP gas, I guess).
In another one of … In another one of these lost episodes Ralph and Norton decide to get rich by becoming songwriters. Ralph uses party of the money saved for Christmas gifts to make a down-payment on a piano. Awisefool has the whole episode here.
It could be the same piano…or writers simply took it out later.
I didn’t know that … I didn’t know that Jackie Gleason was known for playing a wide range of characters until I watched this episode and someone older than myself told me. The Honeymooners was on tv many years before I was even born so I don’t know a whole lot about it. I used to watch it with my dad and Grandfather and that’s why I like the show.
