No in weirdo-land (also known as japan… Or the USA… Or China… But in this case, Japan) they actually have a pretty big status.. Being “Kawaii” (cute) has become a life goal there… To the geeks that come to those cafe’s the “maids” are almost devine creatures… And to little girls they are role models… It’s really, really weird… I guess we can speak of a small cultural difference here
